Stride was so fast and simple! I was shocked to find a plan I was eligible for as a self-employed person that was also affordable.

People often ask us...

Can I sign up for health insurance any time of year?

Usually, you can only enroll in health insurance during a special time of year called Open Enrollment. It runs from November 1 to January 15, and if you don’t get covered during this period, you’ll likely have to wait a full year before you can get insurance.

There are a few exceptions to this rule, though. If you experience a special life event — like getting married, having a baby, or starting a new job — you may qualify to get coverage outside of Open Enrollment.

Can I get coverage for my family?

Yes! We can help you cover your entire family with health, dental, and vision insurance. You can pick and choose the coverages that work best for your family’s unique needs.

How much do plans typically cost?

Prices vary based on a number of factors, including your plan’s coverage level (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and your income. But don’t worry — no matter your situation, we’ll make sure you don’t overpay.

What does it mean that Stride is a partner of HealthCare.gov?

This means that we offer all the same plans at the same prices as HealthCare.gov and your state marketplace. We have to follow specific rules to earn and keep this special title, so all the plans we offer are quality, and our enrollment process is secure.

How do I know if I qualify for a government program or tax credits?

We’ll help you find out! Depending on where you live, you might be able to fill out an application on our website and we’ll let you know if you qualify. If you live in certain states, we’ll direct you to your state’s website to see if you qualify.

Which insurance providers do you offer plans from?

We offer plans from all the major insurance providers — like United Health, Kaiser Permanente, and Anthem — as well as coverage from a few choice smaller providers to give you a breadth of coverage options and protection levels.
