Catastrophic Plans

These plans offers even lower premiums for individuals under the age of 30. Catastrophic plans have very high deductibles that are equal to their "Maximum Out of Pocket," which means the insurance company usually isn't going to pay for any care except Preventive Services until the Maximum Out of Pocket is met. Catastrophic plans are best suited to young, healthy folks who expect to use their coverage only in the event of an unexpected medical event.
